SwiftColour manufacture a range of full colour label printers that are based on the Canon colour print engine well designed and manufactured. The print technology is fixed head similar to Memjet and with similar large bulk tanks c, y, m, k (one black this time) to keep the ink / per label print cost low. The 4 inch model is available in a choice of dye or pigment ink versions for that extra durability when needed. The 8 inch model handles wider labels including A5 (210 x 148mm) and even A4 size (210 x 295 mm) but only in pigment so is especially useful for printing labels onto plastic base media for good chemical resistance and outdoor label survival.
The SCL-4000D is a 4.26 inch wide (108 mm) DYE label printer with speeds up to 12 inches (300mm per second). It is our popular bulk tank high volume capable label printer favored if the customers labels are all under 4.26 inches wide since its best to print narrow with labels on a narrow width printer for reasons of economy and maximising print head life. The SCL-4000D is excellent for printing labels for sandwiches and food items or any product needing full colour labels no wider that 4.26 inches. Average cost to print is 0.45p per label.
